World's Most Frightening Fruit?

How about a slice of this in your pre-Christmas lunch gin and tonic - go on we dare you!

This is a citrus fruit known as Budda's hand or for those of you who are slightly more technical, "Citrus Medica Sarcodactylus" ; smells like a lemon but we've not been brave enough to taste one ourselves yet!!

The citron grows on a shrub or small tree with long irregular branches, covered in thorns. It's large, oblong leaves are pale green and grow to about four to six inches. It's white flowers are tinted purplish from the outside and grow in fragrant clusters.
