Coolings Garden Centres
Floral & Hardy are thrilled to welcome Coolings onto our Hampton Court Flower Show team. As real Sustainability Champions, they understand the need to start encorporating Sustainability and Eco Friendliness into our Gardens, to help our environment.
Coolings grow over 70% of their own stock in their own onsite nurseries, which reduces the need to import from elsewhere, thus reducing their carbon footprint. They have their very own Water Reservoirs, which contributes to them being 80% self sufficient, they use the water to irrigate their plants, and have future plans to put the recycled water to even more good use. Between their two centres 'The Gardener's Garden Centre' and 'Outdoor Inspiration' both situated in Knockholt, Kent, you can pick up everything you need to create a beautiful, sustainable garden.
When you are at their Outdoor Inspiration centre, you must visit the Nature Trail. Created from the old nurseries that used to be there, everything has been manufactured from recycled material. The Trail holds interest for all age groups, but is wonderful for children. 'Bug Hunts' are held periodically for children, as are workshops (where you can build your own bird/bug box!!), Falconry (fathers day lessons), Flower arranging and much much more, go here for more details on the events, and click here for our Blog on the Nature Trail.
