Supplying our weed control fabric is Hy-Tex Limited. Their 'MulchMat' is a natural fibre weed control blanket designed to address flaws of commonly used fabrics.
MulchMat is made entirely from jute fibre which breaks down naturally over time, making this a fantastic solution for projects where weed control is needed primarily for the first critical years of plant development. The hessian scrim offers a more superior performance than other biodegradable blankets, it is strong and robust.
MulchMat provides an ideal environment to benefit rapid and healthy plant growth, it provides insulation and conserves ground moisture by lessening evaporation.
The natural fibres that the MulchMat are made from pose no threat to grazing wildlife. As there are no plastic backings or synthetic nets, there is no danger of snagging animals, also using MulchMat avoids regular apllication of herbicides.
