Commercial Gardens

At Floral & Hardy we have a wide range of experience in designing outside space whether it be an outdoor classroom, a pub terrace or the Hampton Court show, that is harmonious with the surroundings.

Have a look at a few of the projects we have designed and built:

The Akeman Pub

Winner of best designed pub in England gets a garden to match! This was the outside space to the recently refurbished restaurant at the Akeman Pub in Tring.

Grey Coats School

In the garden, the staff felt that a fountain of some sort should be retained but that it needed to be made safe.

Our solution was to place a sturdy grid over the pond, to cover it with natural Caledonian beach pebbles and to replace the fountain itself with a beautiful drilled natural slate obelisk.

Outdoor classroom

Outdoor Classroom

A large octagonal pergola with built-in benches was constructed as a pleasant outdoor ‘classroom’.

Radiating off from this new sleeper raised beds were built.

Sparkling crushed, recycled glass set in resin surrounds these forming colourful pathways.

Hampton Court Garden

Our garden at the Hampton Court show, called 'Sustainability Can be Sexy', was intended for a family with young children with an emphasis on sustainability and practicality - to incorporate renewable energy and to use recycled products wherever possible.
