The owner of this small courtyard garden in Fulham is a musician who spends much of his time travelling and he therefore needed a low-maintenance scheme, but with the ‘wow’ factor to welcome him home.

Raised beds were built in the same stock bricks as the surrounding high boundary walls and these were planted with lush semi-tropical specimen plants, together with colourful perennials and scented climbers.

Brief:

The owner of this small courtyard garden is a musician who spends much of his time travelling, he therefore needed a low-maintenance scheme, but with the ‘wow’ factor to welcome him home.

We needed to incorporate his bespoke smoker/barbecue and a large table with benches for his frequent entertaining. 

Solution:

Raised beds were built in the same stock bricks as the surrounding high boundary walls and these were planted with lush semi-tropical specimen plants, together with colourful perennials and scented climbers.

Space was left between the beds to accommodate the smoker.  The garden was further transformed at night with clever lighting.
