Blackheath Garden Design
This back garden had been neglected before our clients moved in and they wanted to create something magical, particularly in the overgrown lower areas. The garden was liable to flooding so we built an attractive new watercourse to take away the excess water. We converted the existing pond to make it more wildlife friendly and added a deck to view the new visitors to this wildlife haven. Shade-loving planting enhanced the woodland feel.
The upper sections of the garden contrast well with the informality of this area and were given a new, traditional English cottage garden planting scheme with Box hedging to add a formal touch.
In the front garden the overgrown rockery was cleared and replanted to provide a welcoming entrance to the property.
